Gabrielle Johnson, MSW, LCSW

As a licensed clinical social worker, Gabrielle Johnson has over (8 )years of experience in the field, having earned her Bachelors degree from Georgia State University and Masters from Kennesaw State University, both in social work. Ms. Johnson draws upon her years of experience to motivate individuals who are seeking to change their behavior by replacing ineffective coping methods with beneficial skills. By constantly reviewing and compiling relevant research, she is able to create treatment plans specific to the needs of each patient.

Prior to embarking on the journey that is Recovery Unlimited, Ms. Johnson worked with children and families involved with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) as a case manager conducting investigations, and developing treatment plans to address the health and safety needs of maltreated children. Additionally, Ms. Johnson has assisted individuals seeking treatment for addiction while managing a variety of different concerns such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, adjustment to life circumstances, crisis management, and working with families whose children are in the foster care system.

Tina Gold, BSN, RN

Tina Gold is a licensed registered nurse within the state of Georgia. She earned her Bachelors degree in Nursing at Kennesaw State University. Mrs. Gold provides nursing evaluations and education on the physiological aspects of pharmacotherapy and disease management. Her experience includes providing care to children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and panic disorder.

As supervised therapist, Mr. Spivey works with clients with mental health and substance abuse issues. His approach is to help clients live the best life possible by understanding and embracing the diverse culture that exist in today’s world.

Ms. Washington is a counseling paraprofessional who attends Capella University in the Masters of Social Work program. With 7 years of experience working with individuals with mental health, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities, she uses a person-centered and solution-focused approach to assist in improving the quality of life of her clients.

Ashley Desir-Salomon, MSW

My greatest passion is brining healing to people who have been though traumatic/stressful life experiences. I help my clients, who include children, adults, and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and most importantly safe. My educational background includes a MA in social work from Walden University and a BA from the University of Miami. I have worked 3+ years in the field of Mental health and substance use.

As a therapist, my main objective is to help others become empowered, improve ones own self awareness, doing this by reaching an understanding by overcoming communication deficits with love ones. I use clinically tested evidenced based interventions and work with diverse populations. I graduated with a Associate in Business, a Bachelor degree in Psychology/ Sociology from the University of Mobile, a Master degree in Counseling/ Psychology from the University of West Alabama. I pride myself in continually enhancing my studies by acquiring over 8,000 hours of continuous education training and certifications while following the guidelines from state mandated standards of American Counseling Association and NAADAC. While continuing to apply the same code of ethics of honoring diversity, embracing multicultural approach, dignity, promoting social justices, safeguarding the integrity of relationships, and continued practice in a competent and ethical manner.

Alexis Vernon, LMSW

My name is Alexis Vernon and I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker. During my time at Western, I completed a practicum working hands-on with Veteran populations and helping them navigate finding resources. The next leg of my journey brought me to Louisiana State University where I majored in Social Work. I completed my graduate internship working at a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation treatment facility. As a therapist, I work with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, panic attacks, bipolar disorder, substance usage, and more. I take a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach and I will also use concepts of Person-Centered theory to create a safe empowering space in which clients can flourish. I work with clients on their coping skills and mindset to build resiliency and strengthen my client's sense of self and self-confidence.

I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual so I utilize a range of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy and solution focused therapy to name a few.

Cayla earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tennessee State University and a Master of Science in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Clayton State University. Cayla utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help individuals reach their best selves mentally. She also integrates person-centered and solution-focused techniques when needed to tailor therapy to each individual. She is passionate about combatting the stigma around therapy and helping others free their minds. With active listening, empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental nature she aims to provide an accepting environment for positive change for every client she meets. Cayla’s focus areas include supporting individuals who live with Depression and Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Stress, Relationship Concerns, Self-esteem Concerns, and various other concerns. Cayla is also passionate about supporting individuals belonging to marginalized communities such as LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC.

I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I am passionate about providing a safe and welcoming space for children and adolescents from all walks of life while assisting them as they navigate the complex parts of their lives, ensuring their voices are heard. I take person centered and mindfulness aspects to encourage self-discovery while integrating cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused strategies to promote positive change. I understand there is no one-size-fits-all approach, and my goal is to explore and find the best need for each client so they receive the tools and skills to thrive. I aim to establish a collaborative environment that promotes self-love, compassion, and acceptance so that each client desires to understand and nurture their unique purpose.

I am David Carruth and I am a Certified Peer Specialist for Addiction. I work with men as a group facilitator and peer support specialist. In addition, I work with youth through groups on Saturday. My passion is to teach peers how to make better choices so they can live their best
life without the hard lessons drugs and addiction can bring. I want to help those with current addiction problems escape the bonds of addiction and learn to live sober.
